OVERVIEW
Minprotech (PTY) Ltd. is a South African mineral processing company that focuses on the recovery of fine chromite.
With 7 active operations and more than 150 permanent employees, we have produced well over 1.6 million tons of metallurgical grade concentrate from tailings in the last decade.
Pioneering the use of WHIMS technology for chrome beneficiation in South Africa, Minprotech has established itself as a leader in the design, commissioning, and operation of chrome recovery plants. Initially focused solely on WHIMS-based fine chromite recovery, we have since expanded our expertise to incorporate a broader range of beneficiation technologies. Our latest project is a testament to this progression, integrating crushing, screening , milling, dense media separation (DMS), spirals, and a fine chrome recovery WHIMS circuit.
Our headquarters in Rustenburg, South Africa, house an engineering workshop and a mineral processing laboratory, where we conduct full-scale test work to optimize our processes.
